Volunteer abroad for Child Environment Nepal (CEN) in Katmandu, Nepal

Child Environment Nepal (CEN) is a non-profit, non-goverment organization that was developed to deliver education to the poor, indiginous, and underprivilaged children of Nepal. Their orphanage aims to improve the welfare of children by providing accomodation, emotional support, nutrition, health care and education to 13 children. CEN envisions to provide child and family self-sustainability and independence through awareness, education and development.

This organization assists Orphaned children affected war and political violence throughout Nepal. -Indiginous groups such as: Gurung, Chipang, Bishukarma. -Economically disadvantaged families in remote villages of Nepal
Child Environment Nepal (CEN) was established to improve the welfare of children and their communities in rural Nepal, especially those who have been victims of political violence. CEN hopes that the influence and involvement of volunteers will help outsource knowledge to the children and believe that the personal success of every child from their orphanage will become a model for all disadvantaged children, reinforcing the value of their projects. They are understaffed and need as much manpower as they can accumulate to assist them with launching new projects and work with the children to encourage self confidence and self sufficiency.

Volunteers can assist by doing the following tasks:
Volunteers can help in a variety of ways! Everything from teaching the children about health & hygiene, nutrition, tutoring, playing sports and recreational activities to assisting the staff with household management. Everyday tasks include: helping the kids get ready for school, assisting with mealtimes, assisting with homework assignments, and playtime!!!

Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties:

Administrative tasks, proposal/grant writing, website management
